LUKE KELLY - Limited Edition Print
This is a limited edition print, taken from an oil painting of Luke Kelly I did several years ago. It's an edition of 200; hand-signed and numbered by me. And once that number is reached that will be all she wrote.
It's printed a really nice German fine art paper, the Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 100% cotton, and created with Epson archival inks, so all quality materials.
As for Luke himself what can I say. He’s one of Dublin’s most famous sons. A legend in the Irish music scene who spent many a night with Ronnie Drew and the boys belting out songs in O’Donoghue’s Pub; A founding member of the legendary band The Dubliners; A man with immense voice that could rouse up a ruckus with best of them, but could also sensitively weave a tale that would break your heart.
“An Raglan road of an autumn’s day, I saw her first and knew….”

By the way, if a print, or size option comes up as "SOLD OUT" most likely this just mean that I don't have the print in stock in the studio, rather than the edition being sold out. No problem ordering one in for you though, if you send an email to me at email@example.com
Absolutely! I was absolutely blown away by the quality of this print. It is exactly what I was looking for and will hang on my living room wall over my guitar for many years to come.
Finding this portrait of Luke Kelly was a delight. It captured him the way he was on stage, concentrated and fully absorbed in the song. I have had the pleasure of seeing Luke Kelly live several times and watching the painting you can almost hear him sing in his quintessential way. The (international) transaction of obtaining the print was easy and I received the print quick and in pristine condition.
