Master Copy after one of Rembrandt van Rijn many wonderful Self Portraits
Rembrandt is one of the all time great's when it comes to portraiture, amongst many other genres of painting. A true master, that make all who come after feeling more than a little inadequate when the dare to pick up a brush with a mind to emulating his strokes. Thus, attempting to copy his work is something of a fool's errand. However, I do believe there is something to be learnt in the attempt, no matter how far the result falls short of the master.
