"This is another oil painting of South William St, one of my old time haunts when I used to live around the corner. Still one of my favourite places in Dublin City. What I loved about this particular scene was the little pool of red and orange light in the left corner, which finds echoes in the red street light and buildings on the right, and how all of this vibrates against the blue evening sky. As with most paintings it's all about the light! "
