Available at Combridge Fine Arts

As in galleries made of bricks and mortar the virtual galleries present on this site will operate a sticker system that will be used to indicate the availability of a painting.
A red sticker indicates a painting has already been sold, a green one that it has been reserved and no sticker means the painting is available to purchase.
The second thing to note concerning availability is that paintings are not always available directly from my studio as they might already be with a gallery. In this case I have aimed to make it as easy as possible for potential customers to contact the relevent gallery by providing weblinks and contact information directly to the right of the enlarged version of each painting.
As mentioned above sometimes paintings are not available directly from me, but through a gallery. In terms of payment this means that credit card and on-line purchasing facilities are frequently offered. Although, these options are not available if you purchase directly from me, there are three other payment methods which should prove more than adequate. The first is cash, which needs little explanation. The second, is cheques, which are more than welcome, but I should make it clear that unless I know the purchaser well, the cheque will need to clear in my account before I can part with the painting. And finally, on-line bank tranfers are an easy and paperless (if not painless) way to deliver payment.
If you wish to purchase a painting but, for whatever reason, are unable to collect the painting yourself, then delivery can indeed be arranged. Of course, there will be an extra cost involved, which understandably will vary dramatically depending on the size of the work; and indeed its destination. For instance if a painting needs to be crated up, insured and transported across the atlantic, it could amount to an extra couple of hundred Euro; Whereas, if the painting only needs to be delivered to a Dublin address it might only amount to cab fare.
Offers of commissions are welcome. Whether you wish to commission a painting of a particular size, colour palette, theme or concept I would be willing to consider all proposals.
How much will it cost?
The cost of portrait all depends on the work involved, thus, a large portrait will be more expensive than a small one, and a group portrait will likewise be more expensive than a single one. In general, however, I will accomodate most price ranges, and could do a small 12x12 inch work for as little as 600 Euro.
How does it work?
Unlike artist's of a bygone age I work almost exclusively from photographs. Thus, all you really need to commission a portrait is a good photograph of the person you wish to be painted. It should also be stressed that, if you lead a busy life or indeed live abroad, you can simply send me the image via e-mail or through the regular post.
What if you don't have a good photograph?
If you don't have a good photograph then I would be more than happy to take the photograph for you. Preferably this photo session would take place at my studio in Dublin, which is kitted out with professional photographic equipment. If, however, you need me to come to you then this could also be arranged. Although, as might be expected, an extra charge would be involved.
